Casual Hire FAQs

  • If you have not been here before, we recommend you view the venue before making a booking.

    Please use either the Contact option, OR contact the manager on 09 871 0503 to arrange a time to visit the venue.

    Manager is onsite from 9:30 to 2:30pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Best make an appointment to confirm availability to meet with you.

    1. Identify space required

    2. Check calendar for availability

    3. Select ‘Book Now’ option

    4. Fill in contact information and booking requirements

    5. Submit the booking request

    6. You will receive a response within 1 working day of submitting request

    7. An invoice will follow confirmation of the booking

    8. If you require a receipt of payment please include this in the message when making booking

  • The venue is self-catering. We do not offer this service.

    A bakery is located across the road from Kotahi (Kiwitown Bakery - 1/284 Ti Rakau Drive)

  • Yes. We have an alcohol policy that we need to abide to. Please see the link to the policy at the bottom of the page.

  • Please allow time for this in the time booked.

  • Things you need to bring

    • Tea towels

    • Dishcloth(s)

    • Tablecloths

    Refer to the User Checklist at the bottom of the page for a full list of things to bring and do.

  • Before you leave Kotahi

    • Return furniture & utensils to their place

    • Leave the venue clean

    • Check the lights are switched off

    • Check heating / electronics are turned off

  • We reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee of 

    • 3% of the total hire charge if paid using the ‘Pay Now’ button and the hirer cancels up to 10 working days before the event date,

    • 35% of the total hire charge if cancelled within 10 working days of the event date, 

    • 50% if cancelled within 5 working days of the event date, and 

    • 100% if cancelled within 24 hours of the event start time.

    The booking fee (if any) is nonrefundable
